Average millennial living life on the edge (of the Midwest). Probably too immature for Micro.blog but I like it here.
People who don't tip
I don’t get the anti-tipping culture on Reddit. There’s a whole community of people who never leave tips, pretending to protest in favor of the tipped employee because their wages should be higher? “Hey I don’t think you make enough money so I’m punishing you for your boss making you rely on tips to survive”
They’re like the sovereign citizens of tipping. Just full of incoherent loopholes that aren’t really loopholes and make no actual sense.
I agree they should make more money too but they took the job because the pay is shit at most places. The problem isn’t just with the ones where tips are expected. It’s trashy that they give you less than minimum wage just because there’s a chance you might get some tips, but at least there’s also a chance of making more than you expected.
